Privacy policy

Contact and correction data: an email address, sender name, message content and any product, model, part, country or supporting information voluntarily included in a message.

Technical data: hosting and security providers may process request data such as IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, requested pages and diagnostic or security events.

Legacy account data: account and saved-product functions are not publicly available. Records from earlier testing may remain in the authentication or database systems until they are removed under the retention and request procedures below.

Browser-local data: recently viewed products or similar convenience information may be stored locally in the browser. This local information is not used for advertising analytics.

Contact and correction data is used to answer messages, investigate reported errors, improve source quality and protect the project and its users. The legal basis is legitimate interests in operating, securing and correcting the project and in responding to communications.

Technical data is processed for reliable delivery, troubleshooting, abuse prevention and security. The legal basis is legitimate interests in providing and protecting the website.

Information may also be retained or disclosed when necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

MatchMeThis uses providers including Vercel for web hosting and delivery, Supabase for database and authentication infrastructure, Cloudflare for domain and email-routing infrastructure, and Google for the project mailbox and forwarded privacy notifications.

These providers may process data in the European Economic Area and in other countries under their applicable contractual and legal safeguards. MatchMeThis does not sell personal data and does not provide it to advertisers.

MatchMeThis does not currently load Google Analytics or other optional advertising or behavioural analytics. No analytics consent banner is therefore shown.

Strictly necessary technical storage may still be used where required for security, routing or basic website operation. Browser-local convenience data can be removed through the browser settings.

Privacy correspondence and compatibility corrections are reviewed when the matter is closed and are normally deleted or anonymised within 12 months, unless a longer period is necessary for an unresolved matter, security investigation, legal obligation or legal claim.

Technical logs are retained according to the relevant provider and account settings and only for as long as reasonably necessary for operations, troubleshooting and security.

Legacy account or saved-product records are not used for public account features. They may be deleted on request and will be reviewed when the dormant account foundation is changed or removed.

Depending on the circumstances, a person may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data and may object to processing based on legitimate interests.

A request should identify the relevant email address or communication. Additional information will only be requested when reasonably necessary to confirm identity and protect data from unauthorised disclosure.

A complaint may also be submitted to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

Send privacy, access, correction or deletion requests to privacy@matchmethis.com. Compatibility corrections may be sent to the same address with the product model, part reference, source link and a short description of the issue.

Requests are assessed and answered without undue delay. Relevant records are corrected, restricted, exported or deleted when required and technically possible, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

This page will be updated before materially different personal data processing is introduced, including any future reintroduction of public accounts or optional analytics.
